Shayne Greco's Invert-Inspired Ceramic Art

By Leonard Ho - Posted Oct 14, 2013 09:00 AM
Ceramics are used for all sorts of practical and aesthetic purposes, sometimes a combination of both exemplified by Shayne Greco's work. He creates real-to-life functional ceramic art pieces using sealife as his inspiration.

Remodeling your bathroom? How about this octopus-embraced vessel sink?

Shayne states in his website bio: “I have always appreciated the uniqueness of the coast from the way the sun reflects bright pastel colors to the unusual animal life that surround the beaches. Much of my work in ceramics reflects the distinctive attributes of the ocean."

"I love combining functionality with sculpture. Whether it be at a dining room table with a group of dinner guests or on a coffee table holding fresh fruit, My art is designed to make a statement. They are conversation starters as well as great salad bowls!"

Shayne exhibits and sells his artwork through various galleries and retail locations across the US East Coast.  You can also view and purchase his ceramic pieces from his Etsy shop.
