Turn your iPhone into a dive computer with iGills [video]
If you do a lot of diving (and I'm certain that a number of our readers do) and love your iPhone, iGills may scratch an itch allowing you to take your iPhone on your dives and share that information with all of your friends. It transforms your iPhone into "the worlds first and only Smart Diving System."
The combination rugged, underwater polycarbonate hardware housing and iGills app system uses your iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, and iPhone 3GS smartphone during a dive trip as both a dive tool and to document things you see during your dive.
With this system you get:
- Fully featured non-air integrated recreational dive computer with air, nitrox and gage modes
- Auto-populating digital dive log with dive locations, profiles, and photo album generation
- Underwater still camera
- Underwater video camera
- Digital compass
- Backup flashlight
Usage is simple: dock your iPhone in the protective housing and close it. The housing includes a 6-button user interface and onboard computer which allows you to interact with the iGills app during your dive. Afterwards, you can share your dive photos, videos, and other information with your friends via Facebook, Twitter, or Youtube.
