A world-class local fish store

By Leonard Ho - Posted Dec 07, 2015 09:00 AM
In an age when local fish stores are dwindling, it's really great to see a new LFS done right. Atlantis Aquarium in Hamburg, Germany commemorates their first business year with a beautiful trailer of their even more beautiful storefront.

It's not the largest LFS in the world, but it's one of the most well-executed and thoughtful retail shops I've seen.  It's stores like these that serve as ambassadors for our hobby.  While big box stores and online ordering is convenient and cheap, there's nothing that quite compares to a good local fish store.  I could spend a whole afternoon at Atlantis browsing stock and talking shop (if only I knew German).

Visit Atlantis Aquarium's facebook page for more information about their very impressive fish store.
