Advanced Aquarist is back online (obviously)

By Leonard Ho - Posted Nov 25, 2013 10:40 PM
Anyone who tried to access Advanced Aquarist for the past three days experienced "technical difficulties" trying to connect to our server ... because it was physically broken. Well, we're back online. For those who didn't notice, pretend you didn't read this (and shame on you for not reading Advanced Aquarist daily).

We'll spare you the gory details.  Here's the abridged version of what happened this weekend: We scheduled what was suppose to be a routine software update along with some simple hardware upgrades to enhance performance, but an unreal series of hardware failures forced us to replace our entire hardware, thus causing nearly 72 hours of service interruption.

We apologize for the downtime and inconvenience.  Our lovely webmaster has brought our existing content back online much quicker than originally estimated (yay!).  Some lesser-accessed services may still not fully function at this time, and we may experience some hiccups throughout the week.  As such, we won't be uploading new articles for the time being until the new server is fully functional and stable, but you should have access to all our magazine and blog articles again.

Many new articles are coming soon.  It's good to be back!
