Colorado-inspired Aquascaping

By Leonard Ho - Posted Aug 13, 2015 09:00 AM
Nature often serves as an aquarist's go-to muse. This outstanding rocky aquascape was inspired by Colorado's plateaus.

This aquarium is essentially a nontraditional Iwagumi aquascape a style which focuses on the rock formations, which was pioneered by the late, great Takashi Amano.  The critical choice of rocks and their composition define this aquascape as uniquely Colorado.

I'm a passionate aquarist of over 30 years, a coral reef lover, and the blog editor for Advanced Aquarist. While aquarium gadgets interest me, it's really livestock (especially fish), artistry of aquariums, and "method behind the madness" processes that captivate my attention.
