If ever a crowd-source project deserves to fail, this is it

By Leonard Ho - Posted
This proposed Kickstarter campaign wants people to keep a bettafish to live out its life in a tiny water-filled mason jar with a plant growing on top.

This Kickstarter campaign is dubbed "AquaJar: A love story between fish and plant," although AquaJar is more of a fish prison and torture device than a love story.  Look; we're fully on board with aquaponics (albeit rarely is it a total substitute for a good filter).  What is not okay is the idea that a fish - even a betta fish - should live within a container it can barely turn around in.
