It’s a snake eat eel world [video]

In case you’ve ever wondered who would win a fight between a sea snake and a moray eel…

Bruce Carlson (former director of the Waikiki Aquarium, now the science officer at the Georgia Aquarium) videotapes a sea snake engulfing an adult moray eel (Gymnothorax sp.) in Fiji at ~30 feet deep.  This sea snake (Laticauda colubrina), more accurately known as a sea krait, is amongst the world’s most venomous snakes.  The eel found out firsthand.
