Japanese paludarium

By Leonard Ho - Posted Nov 02, 2015 09:00 AM
We have a soft spot for nicely-done paludariums (part aquarium, part terrarium). This dramatic paludarium features a rocky outcrop with water that gently cascades down through moss and aquatic ferns.

The below-water section isn't quite as impressive as the above-water section, but overall the exhibit is very well done with all its jagged nooks and crannies covered in lush greenery.  A little fog effect at the waterline would be a nice touch too. (but who are we to criticize?)
