Papiliolebias francescae, a new killifish

Papiliolebias francescae is described based on specimens collected in a seasonal pool in Rio San Pablo  drainage.  Interestingly, this newly described species may have already (allegedly) entered in the aquarium trade according to this AquaBid auction.  Killifish readily spawn in captivity, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if P.francescae becomes more available to hobbyist in the coming years.
