We sadly report the passing of the world's most influential aquascaper, Takashi Amano on August 4, 2015 from complications of pneumonia. Amano was only 61 years old. The aquarium community will greatly miss Mr. Amano.
RIP Takashi Amano

The man. The legend.

We have lost a true giant in our hobby.  Amano's influence has been immeasurable, elevating the art of aquascaping to unfathomable heights.  If you are one of the few people who hasn't been graced by Amano's brilliance, we ask you to simply google "Takashi Amano."  You will quickly appreciate the magnitude of who we we have lost.

RIP Takashi Amano.  Thank you for your transformative work. The global aquarium community will do our best to carry the torch you lit.
